Free Wordpress Themes


I bet every blogger that starts with a Wordpress blog will go through this stage. Wordpress Free Themes?

Well, just in case you’re interested to know and did not notice the footer of my site, I’m using Prosense themes that I acquired from DoshDosh. I’m not settled yet with one that I really like and is still looking around to find a theme that I “feel good”. Anyway, I’m currently using Prosense as it’s already Adsense Optimized. All I need to do is just to change the Adsense ID to mine once the theme is activated.

And I thought of sharing all sites that I’ve found that offers free wordpress themes as a reference for all that might need it. Could be a great time saver for both you and me :) .

..and definitely a very distracting and time waster too…if you cannot decide on which one to use :)

My top rating still go to Adsense Optimized Wordpress Theme by DoshDosh as it’s easy to implement and monetize. There are all 18 themes offered that are fully optimized with Adsense. (Remark: Don’t forget to change you Adsense ID if you want to use them).

Here’re all sites that offer free wordpress theme that I’ve found while in search of my own. All links should work as I’ve visited them all but do alert me if the link is not working though.

Note: They are not in order of preference. Just put it up here as per my notepad record.

  2. wpthemesfree - I found this by accident and was surprised to see so many free themes offered here. You got to have a look.
  3. dailyblogtips – This one is good too as themes are adsense ready

And finally a Wordpress Theme Generator that I bumped into from a forum. You can design your own theme using this free tool but I’ve never try it.You may want test on your own creativity.

  2. :) Thanks but I am not really good with the technical parts..If you’re referring to the Adsense throughout the page, it’s pre-built with the Prosense template that I’m using and all I did was to change the id to my id.

    Anyway, there are quite a number of Adsense plugin that you can install to your Wordpress blog to easily manage the Adsense ad insertion. Some of the most favored Adsense plugin are Adsense Inline and Adsense Deluxe. You can find a lot more at http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/tags/adsense

  3. Adsense Deluxe is the best plugin i use it on my blogs, i am looking for ebay store plugin do you know any? :)

  4. There’s a good one but also a paid one at http://www.phpbay.com/. You can use this if you’re selling your own item or as affiliate. A free one would be http://www.wpauctions.com/ if you’re a seller.

    Or you can also try rss feed. Just integrate it into your blog for automatic updates. http://pages.ebay.com/affiliates/tools/rssgenerator/index.html

    Help me to maintain this list to free wordpress themes by:

    1) suggesting new sites that you found or that you owned and
    2) address any link that might have become outdated so all visitors will be able to benefit from this list.

  25. That’s a huge list! I myself spent nearly 3 days trying to find a WP theme I’d fall in love with, but with the list that long it would take a couple of weeks in the least case.

  31. Great list and thanks for the “smashingmagazine” hint SEO Blog. We are a bit behiind in magazines in the UK in regards to Blogs, SEO etc. Does and body know of any more reliable sources of information.

  33. Adsense optimization is very tricky, you need to be very careful to use the exact keyword you are trying to apply adsense to or else you could find yourself with five cent clicks. That being said google optimized themes can make a world of difference to your rankings.
